Ahh! I got my Agnes Scott ring! Agnes Scott is weird about this because we get our college rings when we are sophomores. But I’m glad because I don’t think I could’ve waited any longer.
Nearly of all Agnes’ alums gets this ring, and they wear them forever. I’ve met older alumane and they totally wear them! Also our design is pretty unique because it isn’t like a typical college ring, instead it is a black onyx stone with ASC carved in script into the rectangle stone. It is very big, and very fabulous.
This is the biggest tradition we have, and I can’t wait to have my first ‘black ring moment’ when I see someone randomly and get to talk to them about Agnes Scott and how wonderful it is!

I had one of those moments a few weekends ago at a baby shower! I always wear it, of course, but I specifically made sure to wear it in case there was a Scottie around. Sure enough, within the first 10 minutes I was there, an alum from ’99 spotted it! Congrats!!
